(University of Delaware) W7energy, a startup company with roots at the University of Delaware, was recently awarded $3.4 million in new funding from the U.S. Department of Energy’s Advanced Research Projects Agency-Energy (ARPA-E) to advance and commercialize a new class of polymer membranes that will make fuels cells much more economical. The startup’s technology is projected to be one-third less expensive than traditional fuel cell systems.
