(University of Cambridge) A unique, free new game — ‘part Sims, part Tamagotchi’ — lets players inhabit a stem cell researcher as they rise through the ranks: growing cells, scientific collaborations, and reputation. Based on ethnographic research, the game looks at the relationship scientists have with their cell cultures — desperate to keep them happy, like babysitting kids — as well as the social and ethical issues affecting science.
