(Lehigh University) Hannah Dailey, an assistant professor of mechanical engineering and mechanics at Lehigh University’s P.C. Rossin College of Engineering and Applied Science, received an NSF CAREER award for her research developing a virtual mechanical test that helps determine how long it will take a tibial fracture. The award supports further fundamental research into the structural mechanics of bones as they heal, as well as Dailey’s efforts to encourage women to pursue orthopedics and engineering.
