(University of Texas at Austin, Texas Advanced Computing Center) Tens of thousands of researchers use isotope analysis in their work. However, until recently, no central data repository existed. A $1.5 million, three-year grant from the National Science Foundation is supporting the development of IsoBank — a digital archive of data and analytical tools that can be used by researchers worldwide. The researchers are developing a framework for computational analysis to enable comparisons across long distances or time-scales and statistical analyses.
